Principles to keep you going--toward any goal! |

The old proverb goes: "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime."
In this book, Poliquin teaches you to "fish," and you will be able to apply these principles to a lifetime of conditioning, whether your goal is raw strength, bodybuilding, or endurance.
The cornerstone is learning how different rep ranges correspond to different goals and different types of muscle fiber. These principles then allow you to design a workout, modify one you read about, or modify the one you are doing if it has grown stale. I just used it to breathe new life into a bodyweight workout that had stagnated, and I'm back to making steady progress!

This book is a great starting point when wanting to learn how to work out efficiently. Of note, the explanations of neural efficiency, manipulating reps, time under tension, rest and their combined applications have been vastly improving my workouts, body composition, and strength. Worthy of my $20.
